Our open motto, "We Live For Each Other" is more than a string of meaningless words. It is our foundation, our objective, and our promise to one another. Each and every member of Alpha Delta Pi has the opportunity and mission of continuously making an effort to respect and love one another. This means appreciating the intelligence, creativity, goodness, and beauty in in ourselves and in the women who blur the lines between friends and genuine family. We recognize these qualities in our sisters who may not see it themselves, and they in turn remind us to see those qualities in ourselves.
Alpha Delta Pi, as the first sorority ever created, appreciates that life isn't about success in school or work. It's about coming together to live for something greater than ourselves and our ambitions. Waking up every day and asking how we can live for each other is a difficult and noble intention. It can be frustrating, daunting, and taxing, but it is the most rewarding thing we will ever do.

A Letter to PNMs
When I first started college, I had no idea how much one organization could shape my entire experience. I hoped to find a group of women who would support me, challenge me, and walk alongside me during this new chapter of life. What I didn’t expect was to find a sisterhood that would feel like home in every possible way.
When I went through recruitment, I remember feeling a mix of excitement and uncertainty. More than anything, I wanted to find a place that would help me grow, but simultaneously accept me for everything I am. I found that in Alpha Delta Pi.
Thinking back on the person I was, sitting in the O’Connell Center filled with nerves, I realize just how much I’ve grown. Growth that would have never been possible without the women in Alpha Delta Pi. These women are nothing short of incredible. They are kind, passionate, and ambitious. They continually live out our open motto “We Live For Each Other.” They have shaped me and continue to shape me into the person I am proud of today.
I hope you all find the chapter that feels like home. A place where you are not only seen for who you are, but celebrated for it. I hope you find what I found in Alpha Delta Pi, sisterhood, lifelong friendship, and a community that brings out the best in you.
